Florida Health Plan Options has been conducting Lunch and Learn educational events for businesses in Florida for over 10 years. We specialize in being experts on Medicare and the various options available to employees and their families through Medicare and Private Insurance companies.
Florida Health Plan Options does not sell or promote any Medicare plan at these educational events. They are purely to assist the employees and help the employer provide clear, easily understandable information about how Medicare works and the many options available to working individuals over 65. Our goal is to become the employers Medicare consultant and create a long-term relationship with the employer and their employees.

These educational events can be held at the place of employment and are always optional for the employer and given as an extended function of the HR department. Lunch or snacks can be provided.

We like to hold these events annually at the company and prefer if the timing corresponds with the EGHP Open Enrollment, but we are available to hold these educational sessions at any time of year. A request to apply for part B of Medicare creates an SEP for the employee to drop coverage even with Section 125 eligible plans.

Medicare is very complicated and most individuals that are employed and over the age of 65 do not have the time nor desire to learn all of this on their own. Many remain on EGHP because they do not know the alternatives available to them. We provide the guidance and resources to assist the employee while still at work.
